Book Reviews
This latest review was from a 21 year young woman who fell into a lengthy coma following a renal problem. When she finally emerged from the coma, much to everyone’s relief, amongst having to re-learn other things, she had to re-learn how to read. I made a gift to her of a copy of the book, inscribed. ‘Naomi, hurry up and read this book.’ Then signed it.
On Monday, 11th of July, 2022 I received the following text message:
Hi Michael! It's Naomi (Jo's Daughter) I finished your book today and it's amazing!!! I really enjoyed it and it's the first book I've actually finished in like 3 years it's not normally the genre I read but it seriously sucked me in it had a little bit of everything! Are you going to do another one because I will definitely buy that if you do! Love Naomi x
I found this book difficult to put down once I got caught up in the lives of the main characters. It provided entertainment and an easy way to spend the afternoon. The characters are inviting and likeable and it is easy to feel part of their journey.
It was an enthralling read from start to finish. I would recommend this book to my friends and family.

So pleased I had the opportunity to read your book. Loved it, full of twists and turns. Well written and descriptive so that I could clearly see the characters, understand their motivation and the action in my mind. Good to read something that had current topical world affairs in it, without glorifying them. A story like this can only be written by someone who is living a full life, has a caring heart and a thirst for knowledge.

“This is a fabulous, engaging and stimulating novel. The main character, Bruce, is very charismatic and, as the plot unfolds, and we learn more about Bruce it becomes even more appealing! It is without doubt a very attention-grabbing story, the author’s infectious enthusiasm for mystery and intrigue shines through and I very much look forward to hearing more of Bruce's escapades! I heartily recommend it".

"The Cape Agulhas is a great book from a new author. The plot kept me interested all the way through and the fact it was set on The Costa de sol made it more interesting as I live in Spain and could recognise lots from the Spanish way of life. I am looking forward to the promised sequel. A very interesting read!"

Finally, this is a review from a gentleman called Carlo Dano a publications manager from Authorhouse Publications and refers to the first edition of the book.
Although I have been in the industry for quite some time, let me tell you that I am not a professional critic but I hope you don’t mind me expressing my thoughts about your work.
Bruce is an amazing character and I was so brushed up in his story. Along the way you’ll also get to enjoy learning about new characters and seeing their development – Your use of character descriptions by the way is quite effective. You have written the story well and you also allow readers to use their imagination. The writing is a crisp but I think with the help of a professional editor, we can make it more tight. For me, it’s a remarkable read with a solid realistic storyline. Your clear writing style and dialogue makes the reading a breeze. Another good thing is how you have presented the work, it really has the right amount of detail. The storyline is beautifully done, rousing and incredibly magnetizing!
